Mr. Nedurumalli Ram Kumar is the eldest son of Dr.Nedurumalli Janrdhana Reddy, Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He finished schooling from Hyderabad Public School and Rishi Valley School. He accomplished his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Degree from Anna University, Chennai.
By profession Mr. Ram Kumar is an entrepreneur, spreading operations across FOREX generating Export Business to Growth intensive Infrastructure Development.
As a booming descendant, he has ‘not left any stone unturned’ in ‘re-emergent’ and reshaping the most popular and one of the first generation Engineering College in the Combined State of Andhra Pradesh, NBKR Institute of Science & Technology, Vidyanagar, Nellore District.
As a Correspondent, He played a vital role in maintaining the quality of education with an ultimate excellence in the college. Under his able guidance. N.B.K.R.I.S.T got accredited by NBA (Five Courses) under tier 1 and also bestowed with NAAC with ‘A’ Grade (Twice) and Autonomous Status by UGC. As a president of Andhra Pradesh Private Engineering Colleges Managements’ Association (APPECMA), he played a pivotal role in solving the problems of managements of Engineering colleges.
He started Nedurumalli Foundation in loving memory of his father and great visionary Dr.Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy, Former Chief Minister of AP. Through the foundation, he extended several philanthropic activities meeting the needs of the poor and disadvantaged people. Through this foundation, he is also extending scholarships to many poor and meritorious students every year. Acute drinking water starved villages have been provided with “Free Drinking Water” by installing mineral water plants in several villages. The foundation organizes regular blood donation camps to meet the demand at prominent Hospitals to save the lives of numerous poor victims of accidents and also pregnant women.
Recognizing the appetite of Sri.RamKumar, towards Community Development and his Professional approach and commitment towards rural folks, Our Honorable Chief Minister Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has appointed Mr.Nedurumalli Ram Kumar as the Chairman, Board of Community Development through Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh enabled with Cabinet Rank.
As the Founder Chairman of the Community Development Board, he envisage a ‘loud and clear’ action plan meeting the vision of Hon’ble CM, of “Making People part of Governance” by consolidating the feedback from the people from all walks of life, involving them in generating solutions and ultimately bridging the gap between the people and government.
Finally we can say that he is ‘A RIGHT PERSON FOR RIGHT POSITION’
